How PMC Guarantees Quality in Spray Foam Equipment

Quality is not just a checkpoint. It is the foundation of PMC’s core values. Quality is in everything we build. Every piece of spray foam and polyurea coating equipment that leaves our facility represents our unwavering commitment to accuracy, reliability, and long-term performance. From proportioners and spray guns to hoses and accessories, each component is meticulously tested to meet the exacting standards that define PMC’s Made in the USA craftsmanship. This is why we are confident in our 100% product guarantee.

Precision Testing for Reliable Performance

Led by Quality Control Manager, Tom Linderman, PMC’s Quality Control Department uses state-of-the-art testing equipment to verify that every part performs precisely as engineered. These advanced quality assurance methods ensure our plural component proportioners, spray foam guns, and related components perform flawlessly in the field.’

Our Quality Control Equipment

Optical Profilometer – This is a 3D optical surface analyzer used to ensure that surfaces are within tolerance. It can analyze 20 mixing chambers at one time.

PMC uses this hi-power microscope to check parts for defects

High Power Microscope – This tool is used specifically for testing side seals. The screen image shows a good side seal and a side seal with a scratch. The defective one will be discarded.

Comparator – this machine projects a magnified image of a part onto a screen for precise dimensional measurement. In this image, we are testing the crossover tube for a pump section

Coordinate Measuring Machine CMM – this machine measures the X, Y and Z coordinates of parts to make sure the tolerances are with those specified on the engineering drawings. Depending on the part, tolerances can range from ±0.0005 – 0.005

Dimensionair – this piece of testing equipment is specifically for checking the diameter of a PX7 pour module. The pour module must be tested with air because using a probe could scratch the interior.

Hardness Tester – This machine tests a part’s wear resistance and surface strength. Testing for proper hardness ensures the part will not be damaged when it comes in contact with other parts.

Quality Assurance from Assembly to Final Testing

Quality doesn’t stop at inspection. Every stage of production, whether assembling an over-pressure switch on a Classic Series proportioner, wiring a heater thermocouple, or installing a Temperature Sensing Unit (TSU), just to name a few examples, is performed with the same attention to detail.

PMC Technicians work on the electrical wiring and TPU assembly in our Lakewood, NJ Manufacturing Plant.

Before any PMC proportioner is approved for shipping, it undergoes a complete performance test. Each machine is operated under working conditions to verify all systems, pass final inspection. Here, the Premier Mach 2 is being final tested and inspected before shipping.

American-Made. Operator-Trusted. Field-Proven
